It doesn’t matter which type of apple you love, Love Creek Orchards has 11 kinds of apples including Granny Smith, Fuji, Gala, Jonagold, and Pink Lady. You can find fresh apples for baking or snacking. They serve old-fashioned sweet cider and other apple-y goodness.

You can also shop in the Apple Store, a popular Texas tourist stop, which sells freshly baked apple pie and apple bread. You can spread their apple butter on the bread for a double dose of apple flavor. They sell ice cream, turnovers, cookies, apple cider stuff, sandwiches, and much more. If there is an apple heaven, this has to be it!

The café deserves its own entry especially since Texas Monthly Magazine lists the Love Creek Orchards Patio Café as one of the “Best 40 Small Town Cafes in Texas.”

“You’ll swear you smell a spice-scented candle when you walk in the front door, but it’s really the apple-rific offerings at this small white frame house with apple-red trim,” writes Texas Monthly.

And the magazine named its apple pie as one of their favorite pies in Texas.” One apple pie contains five pounds of Pink Lady, Granny Smith, or Jonathan apples.

And guess what? Love Creek Apple Orchard is where you’ll find the Great Hill Country Pumpkin Patch. It’s so popular that it deserved its own entry too.

In October, the Pumpkin Patch opens to the public every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 10 am to 4 pm. You can do a lot more than finding that perfect pumpkin to take home. So be sure to come early to catch all the activities.

It only costs $6 for kids ages 3 and older. (Half price for those with an Active Military ID.) After you buy your pumpkin, you can paint it. No worries about shopping for paint and cleaning up the mess when you get home. Admission also includes visiting the farm animals, hayrides, hay maze, scarecrow building, and playing an instrument in the Great Hill Country Symphony.

For the lucky kids who have fall birthdays, they can hold their party at the Great Hill Country Pumpkin Patch!
