Ford Holiday Boat Caroling in San Antonio
Less than an hour away from San Marcos is the Ford Holiday Boat Caroling in San Antonio. Here’s your chance to sing in the holidays by caroling with friends and family from a boat on the River Walk. The adventure starts at the International Center Building (River level) at 203 S. St. Mary’s St., San Antonio, TX 78205.
You can also watch and sing from the banks of the river or at a restaurant patio. Each caroling boat does one lap around downtown. The boats will randomly stop at restaurants. You can see a map on the website as well as folders with music lyrics. Yes, they mean it when they say everyone will be caroling!
Austin Trail of Lights
It started as a small gathering in 1965 known as the “Yule Fest” as a gift to the city of Austin from the Austin Parks and Recreation Department. For almost 60 years, Austin Trail of Lights has welcomed everyone to the community-wide celebration filled with 70 displays, 2 million lights, and holiday activities. The event is now one of the largest in Austin.
