Looking for a high-energy, family-friendly celebration of music, aviation, automobile, and Texas? Go Wheels Up! is the place to be! It’s scheduled for May 29 and 30 at the San Marcos Regional Airport.
Texas musician Cory Morrow hosted the first event in 2019. He wasn’t about to let the cancellation in 2020 deter him from hosting again this year. Morrow wants to provide people in San Marcos and Central Texas something to truly looking forward to after a most unusual year.
What’s Go Wheels Up!?
Cory Morrow created this uplifting and memorable event for everyone. Attendees have the opportunity to explore aviation and cars as well as eat tasty food while relishing good music. A portion of the proceeds will benefit area charities including the San Marcos Education Foundation, the Greater San Marcos Youth Council, and the Commemorative Air Force Central Texas Wing.
The aviation part of the event is the air show featuring the U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper Demonstration Team. There will also be performances from some of the top aerobatic pilots and skydivers in the nation.
And of course, Cory Morrow will headline the entertainment lineup. Other well-known local and regional performers will join the lineup that will be announced soon. There will also be food trucks.
Check out the Automobile Show
As for automobiles, this is where you’ll see hundreds of classic, exotic, and unique automobiles from around the state. The auto show contains three areas. The first is called “The Highway.” This is where you can discover exotic and special vehicles, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and plus a few race cars from Circuit of the Americas. It also has a concert stage, so there’ll be entertainment in that area.
The next area is “Cory Morrow’s Texas Time Traveling Machine” where attendees can take a walk through the history of automobiles.
And the third area is “Just Along for the Ride” with clean, high horsepower, pro-touring style, and rare vehicles as well as anything interesting. These are the kinds of cars that only come out of the garage a couple of times of a year.
